I am an artist living with my husband in Washington, DC. What Kind of artist? Fiber Arts, Performance, sculpture, paint, needlework and culinary to name a few. We live in an adorable little apartment in an adorable little neighborhood. Every day I send Jase to work with a homemade lunch, Then I wake up a little later and wreak some reckless culinary experimentation, go to the library, job hunt and do some writing (And update every social network I am on). Sometimes I fail at a project, but I always tweak it and try again. I can't resist the siren song of a good recipe or walking around mt neighborhood taking interesting pics.

Silvered Hamsa. Also appeared in KBCC’s Antheon 2006. Paint Marker on canvasboard. I love the silver paint marker, had to use the whole thing to get that background. That was expensive, but so worth it!
I love the multicolored pastel thread I used on this one. Goes great with the message. I dig the swirls on the top and bottom too.
Nice needlework. This took me 4 days to complete. I still think this is one of my best bits. Get a load of the pretty red ribbon.
Eight Eyed Flower. Appeared in KBCC’s Antheon, 2006. From my ‘05-‘06 Paint-Marker-on-canvas phase.
Beaded necklaces I made. A couple of years ago I was very much into beadweaving and jewelry making. I hope to eventually start again. The top one is made of gold, amber and dark yellow crystal beads with a magnetic clasp. The bottom one is made of metallic purple seed beads with semiprecious stone stars and a magnetic clasp.
A great, detailed “naughty needlework” that includes both a picture and a phrase. I love this one.
